Welcome to Durham Wildlife Photography Group

The Durham Wildlife Photography Group was set up in 2005 to allow anyone interested in wildlife photography in and around County Durham to:

  • get together at informal meetings and trips,
  • to learn and be inspired by other members and guest speakers,
  • to pass on knowledge to others,
  • to provide opportunities to take photos.

The group has monthly meetings at to venues, to accommodate members from as wide an area as possible. Meetings at Rainton Meadows (near Houghton-le-Spring) are on the second Tuesday of the month while meetings at Low Barns (near Witton-le-Wear) are on the third Wednesday of the month. In addition regular weekend field-trips are held, visiting DWT reserves and other areas with photographic potential.

All are welcome to join the group - you do not need to be a DWT member. If interested, please get in touch using the contact us form.
